Spiga, has been serving delectable Italian dishes in Saint Martin since 2002. The menu is made from scratch, using fresh ingredients and non-processed foods. The owners Lara born in Sint Maarten and Ciro in Italy, both grew up in the restaurant business. Lara’s parents owned the first Italian restaurant in Saint Martin, while Ciro had a passion for cooking. They met in London while working at the Savoy Hotel and where they decided to create their own restaurant in Sint Maarten being Spiga. The best-selling main courses include the “Short Rib” with roasted pumpkin puree, the “Risotto Frutti di Mare” with wild Argentinian shrimps, clams, and St. Jacques scallops, and the “Veal chop Funghi” with mushroom sauce.
Vegetarian options include the “Fettucini porcini” with fresh Porcini mushrooms, broccolini, truffle butter, and parmesan.
