The owner of Sale & Pepe, Chef Davide, was a private chef when he arrived in Sint Maarten in 2000 and worked for Mr. Spadaro. In 2002, he met his soulmate, Scarlet, and they opened their own restaurant in Simpson Bay. Unlike Sale & Pepe, which was small, Chef Davide wanted to create a restaurant on the water, reminiscent of his Sicilian roots. That’s when Sale e Pepe came to life. The menu features fresh seafood from the Caribbean Sea and Sicilian fish, such as wondrous shrimp caught deep in the waters around the island.
